Transfer presses produce parts while minimizing metal scrap and labor cost. Often the part is fully formed by the time it is ejected from the press.

In this fully automated cell, developed for a high production volume part, metal coil, fed into one end of a large press, is blanked, drawn and beaded, becoming a finished part by the time it reaches the other end of the press. Robotics play a significant roll in this transformation.
